Should a religion or a belief be a cause for conflict?
Great common sense here. Wish Id thuoght of that.
I think that it shouldn't be. No one should force or be forced to impose any religion or belief upon. The choice should be left to the individual.
It is true our religion beliefs influence our values and out looks. Recognising we live in a very diverse society where different people have different beliefs and faiths, it is important that we appreciate these differences.
Tolerance and understanding of our difference in our belief is vital for reducing tension that may arise between followers different religion in our community

I don't think a religious belief should be a cause for conflict. Most of the major world religions have at their core the principles of love and peace. However the way people can interpret teachings and belifefs can lead to conflict.
It can be easy for us all to fall into conflictual positions; for us to believe our way is right and therefore someone else's views are wrong, for us to fear people or beliefs that are different from us and ours. This is why it is important for us to always be aware of our own behaviours and to keep reminding ourselves of the need to be respectful, appreciative and tolereant of difference. We must remember that we should live and let live.
